| This meteorite is perhaps the most "famous" of the "historic English falls" having occured only 12 years after the end of The American Revolution against England, only 19 years after the Americans signed the Declaration of Independence, and during George Washingtons Presidential term! Most of this material is locked away in Museums, Institutions, and private collections. We at The Nature Source have secured some Wold Cottage that came from The British Museum Collection. The Wold Cottage meteorite is an excellent L6 (Low Iron). Please do shop and compare folk's...this material is hard to get, and YES...it does command a higher price then many L-chondrites, but then , THIS is Wold Cottage. It is scarce, and as an historic witnessed fall, it is very valuable, and the price has only "up" to go. |

| L-6 Chondrite. The "L" in L-chondrite stands for low iron as the amount of free iron is only about 4-10 percent. These are therefore not strongly attracted to a magnet, and fewer metal flakes visible in the interior then with H-chondrites. |
