A very nice specimen, we grade this one "very good". It is a nice size at 5.5" overall and the trilobite is 4.5"; and has had no restoration that we can see. Great price for such in impressive piece. Note the detail of the eye in the close-up inset of each image.

Specimen size: 3 7/8" measured straight along the body.
Phacops rana africanus, Devonian Age, Hamar L' Aghdad limestone, Djebel Issoumour region, Moroccan Sahara, Africa. This is a good specimen of the phacops. Decent thoraxal segmentation, very nice pygidium, good glabella and cephalon, and we grade the eyes as good (meaning most of the lenses are evident and clear). Size is average.
