The Lowest Prices on Eurypterids (Fossil Sea Scorpions) you will find anywhere. We have a number of specimens, all from the R.A. Langheinrich Collection. The Eurypterid is the New York State Fossil. Complete Eurypterids are rare, fragmented Eurypterid segments are more commonly found. On this page you will find both whole and partial Eurypterids, more pieces will be added as they become available. The largest of the arthropods Eurypterids were found in marine brackish and freshwater conditions during the Ordovician through the Pennsylvanian.
All of these Eurypterids are from the Fiddler Green Formation, Phelps member, Upper Silurian of Herkimer County. Just a stones throw from the original Eurypterid quarry discovered earlier this century. All of these specimens have been collected on private land. |
