| We offer here Fossil Amber:Copal, With Assorted Insect and Botanical
Inclusions. We have been VERY SELECTIVE in choosing these pieces for your purchase consideration. We have looked
for good color and a variety of insect and plant types. We do not know the specific classifications of the
insects, and leave that enjoyable research task for you. You can tell from the images which are Moth's,
Termites, Ants, Bee's, and Fly's, for example....but you will have to research genus/species information.
Amber Copal, is fossilized tree-resin (sap) and varies in age. All these pieces are from the World-Class
collecting locality in Columbia and are Plio-Pleistocene in age, UP TO 10 MILLION YEARS OLD. Hardness of the
pieces varies, based upon specific site location they were collected from....ALL are quite dense and hard.
These are excellent fossilized specimens worthy of ANY collection! We hope you enjoy our selection. NOTE: Every effort was made to take images as clear as possible. In fact, We had to retake them 3 times to assure best quality possible with the equipment we have. Many of the inset images are NOT as clear as the actual specimen really is.
